Echos of Form

Echos of Form takes photographic memories from Richmond community members and photographs from the archive at the Richmond Museum of History & Culture and recombines them into digital quilt blocks. These images are representations of memories, so just as memory is rewritten and rearranged these photographs have been reformulated and glitched with code and my own interpretive lens. In contrast to the ideology of rugged individualism, the stories in these photos are interconnected, woven together in infinite webs. They are projected on hexagonal forms with cutouts inspired by shadows, generating stillness and wonder in contrast to the cacophony of sound bites we are bombarded with daily.
